Dished head Manufacturing standards

These bottoms are manufactured in accordance with DIN28011. Manufacturing tolerances strictly follow the DIN28011, highlighting the tolerances on its height, its thickness after forming.

For a tank bottom ordered at a nominal thickness (also called starting thickness) E, the actual thickness measured after forming may differ from E, not only because of the tolerances on the thickness of the sheet, but also because of changes caused by the forming process.

Features of stainless steel tank heads

This 304L stainless steel end is manufactured in accordance with DIN28011.

The dish radius is 400mm. 

The knuckle radius is 40mm.

The straight flange height is 25mm.

Dished head forming processes

Dished heads are manufactured by cold processes, spinning or press-forming.

All our dished stainless steel are supplied without grease. No heat treatment is performed after forming.

The 400mm diameter bottom with a 3mm thickness is made from a disc without weld.

304L - 1.4307 stainless steel characteristics

This dished head is made from stainless steel sheet 304L - 1.4307 in 3 mm thickness.

The 304L is the most popular stainless steel. Also called 1.4307, it is a food-compatible stainless steel.

The 304L stainless steel is an alloy wherein the nickel and chromium are added. It can be used both indoors but also outdoors, however it should not be used in a contaminated environment.

The origin of stainless steel sheets (used for the manufacture of heads) is European and our partners are ISO9001 certified manufacturers from France.
